Period 346

Filed under: Updates — CanonRap @ 2:42 am

Not much to say (and besides, raw’s been out for over a day). Just a few points:

– Interestingly, Negi does revert back to a 10-year-old physically without magic. He’s right, Eva really is just abnormal, being so powerful even when she has no magic.

– The part with the cheerleaders (the majority of the chapter) was surprisingly good. Misa’s constantly changing expressions are fun to watch and they did manage to get Negi to admit he feels something, which is rather impressive.

– Ku is really, really cute this chapter. That is all.

I seriously can’t remembering the last time we saw Negi in such a panic. End of the world? Just clench those teeth. But high school girls? WELL SHIT WE’RE SCREWED.

    That’s what living for 500 years does to you!

    In a way, girls are the ultimate danger for men……

  2. The dissonance in Negi’s character is really retarded at this point. He’s this super fighting badass who can save a world yet freaks out when dealing with teenage bitches.

    • Also, Negi really needs to get a strong pimp hand and use it on some of the girls.

      • He’s depowered. There’s nothing he can do.

        You know, one of Misa’s comment make my mind, because, in fact, Negi almost vanished from their sights, with little explanation. In a way, he deserves what is happening.

        BUT, as always, the girls are taking this too far for Negi’s health, throwing his love life in the fan. My main problems with this comedy arc are:

        1. Negi have to learn AGAIN he isn’t alone with his problems;
        2. 3-A’s despicable side with full force;
        3. Implicitly showing us Negi will be EVER helpless against his own students (because Akamatsu just like to do his male characters as helpless as possible against a bunch of girls. “Gentleman” my A$$);
        4. Love or no, Negi don’t know enough about them to understand their weak points and how win against their madness;
        5. Negi have to be more assertive and less manipulable. Age doesn’t count anymore;
        6. It’ll be good if Negi finnaly learn how to fight without any magic power.

        If this is a comedy arc, I’d laugh more if Negi might to defeat his students with craftiness, thinking they’ll just doing this for training.

        • I really wish that the girls would talk to Negi properly instead of resorting to stupid shit like this.

          I also hope that Negi comes out on top here, although that probably won’t happen. If Negi does come out on top though, he would be much more of a boss pimp, and it would also help him control the girls.

          As for number 1 in your list, the usefulness I see for the girls at this point is bringing cheer and warmth into Negi’s life and satisfying him sexually later on if he needs it.

  3. Negi said that there is a girl he likes but doesn’t tell the cheerleaders the name of the girl he likes. I kinda thought it would be Asuna, but then i think it might be Nodoka since Negi said, “ever since she told me, I been thinking about her”. I’m pretty sure Negi is referring to the girl who confessed her love to him. I’m surprised Chamo doesn’t know who the girl Negi likes is. I’m pretty sure it’s because Negi rarely shows that he has feelings for someone since he is too busy working.

  4. Asuna, Nodoka and Chisame are the big three.

    But, I’m almost certain Negi is talking about Nodoka too.

  5. They dismiss the idea of Asuna being the one he likes because it would be boring, I don’t Akamatsu would use an idea his characters clled boringXD.

  6. Shades of Love Hina with this confessing and chasing after Negi. I’m totally expecting Nodoka at the end of this little harem game and I’m guessing most people think so as well? Although I can’t help but think this is a roundabout way of having Asuna as the conclusion.
