323 summary

Filed under: Updates — CanonRap @ 10:51 pm

Some kind of force is sucking and drawing objects from the Magic World to the other side. Fate tells Negi that even he did not expect this to happen, but right now it doesn’t matter, because it will still be their battle which decides the outcome.

The Paru-sama is caught by the turbulent mana, beginning to “descend” crashing through to the other side, Mahora. The floating rocks are also falling onto Mahora and the school mages get to work preventing them from causing more damage and casualties. The Paru-sama starts falling to the ground, passing by Sakurako and Fuuka who somehow manage to get a glimpse of Paru in the cockpit.

The ship crashes and grounds to a halt near where Ayaka and a few of the other classmates are. Paru(‘s Artifact) punches the door down and she jumps down from the ship, greeting them… only to get kicked away mid-air by Fuuka. Madoka helps Paru get back up, and Paru of all people starts tearing up and hugging her tightly, saying how much she’s missed the normality of her classmates. Not unexpectedly, Madoka is confused and angry.

Hakase suddenly arrives wearing her powered suit from the Festival, and Paru directs her to the cockpit where Chachamaru is. Hakase looks over some of her damage – Quartum’s spear through the chest nearly ‘killed’ her – and Chachamaru thinks that it was worth it, as her memory can be kept even if her body is destroyed. Hakase gives her a rare tsukkomi, and tells her that she’ll put her back together.

And of course, at the end, Ayaka approaches Paru, and asks her to explain everything in detail.

Next chapter is May 11, due to the previously-mentioned 3-week-break of “secret planning” involving the theatrical.

Great timing for me, to be honest – if there was a chapter after this, I would’ve had to make a post about not doing summaries any more due to my terrifyingly massive workload; as of right now and in relation to Negima, I just cannot afford to put any time into, well, anything other than translating the chapter itself. So thanks to this break period, I can get my real life stuff sorted out and hopefully return to my normal schedule for Negima.

In exchange, 323 full this Friday. Probably Friday releases from here on, too, since I now have the most free time on Thursdays.

  1. One month without Negima?

  2. Can I ask just the chapter’s title?

Anyway, Haruna’s breakdown was the best part. She isn’t “no responsability, all fun” at all, like I thought.

    • “The Great Paru-sama’s Back!”

  3. Paru apparently letting her emotions get the best of her was nice as was Hakase and Chachamaru’s moment. I’d love for Eva to get wind of what happened with Chachamaru, including the pactio (she will eventually).

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if she already knows the next time we see her… the girls are gathering pretty quickly.

  4. Wow a Negima movies is it gonna be Live action or Animated?. Well I read series like The Breaker in between so I won’t suffer to much, I am excited about this cause on several forums people have posted possible links to a 3rd series of Negima hopefully they will listen to fans this time and remake the series according to the manga like they did with FMA Brotherhood if they make a shitty Negima that doesn’t even show the school festival I will stop reading Negima all together.

    • What? The movie is a continuation of the OADs that SHAFT has been putting out, i.e. the conclusion to the magical world arc. No school festival, so you might as well start early on not reading Negima anymore.

  5. One month without MSN? No… 😦

I agree with Quickvenom on that one, but it’s not Akamatsu’s fault entirely if the anime’s badly done.

  6. ゲート向こうと繋がったのは確かに想定外だ

Soo… Confirmation by Fate of a Mahora Gate?

    • He means the Ostia gate connecting to the other side (Mahora).

But yeah, I’m guessing there’s a Gate under Mahora.

      • Is that really something that even needs to be guessed? I mean, the area under the World Tree looks like a gateport, and the whole plan was to use the fact that there was only one gate connecting the two worlds to gather all the magic in one spot, and the magic is currently flowing into Mahora.

I think that a gate being under Mahora should be a logical assumption by now. ^_^

        • A guess is a guess is a guess. Until we are given more information, I wouldn’t call anything a logical conclusion.
