Soon… it will all return to nothingness –
The battle between Mana and Poyo is interrupted for a moment as they both notice Negi’s recovery, but…
It might be too late to save the world -poyo.
Takamichi and Kurt’s fleet are up against over 500,000 demons, with 29 minutes left on the clock. They don’t know for certain where Ala Alba is, and while they did detect the shot from Al-Iskandariyah, the ritual itself wasn’t stopped.
Suddenly a message comes from M.M. reporting ‘powerful mana storms’ all over their territories, and everything that touches the storms are dispersed and disappear. The Empire also reports the same events…
It seems that it has started… The collapse of the Magic World…!
Meanwhile, a giant tornado forms outside M.M. and Donette is part of the crowd watching it close in, wiping out the Gateport in the process. The Magic World “skin” is being ripped off, revealing Mars:
There’s a desolated wasteland on the other side of the tornado…!!
Similar storms approach Granicus, Ariadne, and Neo Ostia…
Just one panel of a bloodied Setsuna, coughing out an “Ojou-sama…” Akamatsu, you horrible man.
Back in the Palace, Konoka, Akira, Ako, Chisame, Ku, Luna, and Chamo are moving down a corridor (at a good pace, thanks to Ako’s doping, which also revived Ku) Konoka didn’t really want to leave behind “the mysterious girl”, but Chamo, the voice of prudence as always:
We’ll never have enough lives to get involved in any infighting between those monsters. She told us to go, so hell, let’s go!
They are greeted by a flaming fist – Anya’s, because apparently they were going so fast she didn’t know any other way to get their attention.
Apparently she was left behind at some point at a ‘safe place’ (safer than “next to an Ala Alba fighter”?) and of course, she’s not too happy about that. She tells them about Fate being taken down, Quintum’s appearance, and the subsequent infighting. In any case, they’re all going to have to help them out – Konoka in particular will definitely be useful with her recovery.
Back to the Altar, where surprisingly, Shirabe was not utterly annihilated by Al-Iskandariyah, merely knocked unconscious. She wakes up to Fate’s calling, who then tells her to move Asuna back into position. Nodoka and Natsumi are tied up and close by (Nodoka also providing some unexpected fanservice. Is this really the right time?)
Nodoka-san lecture time:
Even without my Artifact, I at least know what you’re thinking about –
Fate-san… you’re… bothered by Negi-sensei, aren’t you…?
He’s always on your mind. You’re thinking about the meaning behind his words, aren’t you?
It didn’t take me long to know that – otherwise, there would be no way to explain your actions, like how you fought with your comrade.
I think Sensei said this.
“I want to be friends with him.”
I think that’s… amazing, and it’s a good thing. I… really don’t think, that you’re bad people.
You… you like coffee, right?
Then please… please come to Mahora Academy. I know a shop with very good coffee. So…
Is this really the right time, Nodoka?
Fate slaps her, but Nodoka manages to smile back… and they both notice something behind them: Negi, standing on the Great Paru-sama.
I was getting tired of waiting. Negi Springfield.
(Break next week, 318 comes out Feb. 23rd. See you all Saturday.)
