Tosaca, Rakan, and Eva appear:
“If you’re the leading role in the spotlight, there’s gotta be a ‘stage’ you can’t get off from.”
“Hey, yeah. Didn’t you have a ‘rival’‘s ass to kick for when you got stronger?”
“Furthermore… you certainly have ‘comrades’ who you yourself swore to protect even if you must risk your own life, do you not?”
“Don’t you have ‘someone’ you have risked your all to keep chasing after, keep looking for?
Or not, huh? Not just that – it sounds more like you’re following my footsteps and about to exceed me.”

“That’s right, boy. There is a path that he did not walk… one that only you can walk.
Set out on the grey path.”
Nagi’s last words:
Get going. I’ll be waiting up ahead..
Sextum has the entire group drowning in her water cubes, but Negi’s hand reaches out and breaks through her mandala shields completely. He breaks out of his (and I still can’t think of a better word for this) ‘cocoon’.
Dunamis wa shock:
Im… Impossible! Sextum… the Averruncus of Water, in a single blow…
No, before that – you were invaded by demonic elements down to your very soul, how could you have recovered from that condition…
Chiu on the other hand:
You’re freaking late for a protagonist… Geez. I know you promised, but every damn time…
Sextum gets angry and moves to attack, but someone steps in behind her:
“Do not move, or I will crush your core.”
“You – ?!”
“Master… are you betraying us?!”
“Master…?! That Grave Master guy?!”
“Betray? You wound me. I do not recall ever being your comrade.
Does the boy not have a plan which can replace your scheme? I would like to bet on the boy.”
Negi recognises her… somehow.
“…You’re… Mother’s… Asuna-san’s…!”
“If you continue to be careless, everything will return to nothingness.
Go. My descendant.”
One of Paru-sama’s engines are hit by Quartum…
Bastard! He can turn the whole ship to dust any time he wants, but he’s just playing with us!
Quartum mixes a little murder in:
Even the chase bores me now.
Let’s end this soon.
Flame Emperor Summon.
Now… without going as far as burning up your souls, let’s roast the lot of you.
Negi comes charging in lightning form and knocks him away…
Quartum is about to finish off Natsumi, but gets blindsided by stone projectiles. Fate emerges:
They are his comrades. My prey…
Fate and Negi, their words overlapping:
“You have all just woken up…”
“These are my comrades…”
” “I won’t allow you to lay a finger on them!” “
It finally counts down to the fateful last battle!!

can’t say I’m surprised that Negi ends up on the “grey path”. It’s I believe what most of us expected
well instead of cocoon you could use shell or demonic skin/layer

If you’re talking about that last part, I don’t blame you. It’s got a great flow in Japanese, but it doesn’t flow as well in English, because it’s hard to end it with the same words without breaking each character’s line into two independent phrases, like you did, or making one or the other sound like Yoda.
Best I could come up with is something like:
Fate: “You, who have only just awakened…”
Negi: “These are my companions, and you…”
Both: “…may not lay a hand upon them!”
