The spoilers spoiled everything worth spoiling, so yeah.
(And the initial spoiler post was a rush job, so some of the lines were a little off. Think I’ve fixed all of them this time.)
Can an Ala Alba bereft of Negi bring down Fate’s bastion?!
Do not, jest with me.
The likes of you people cannot hope to hinder our plan.
Fate immobilises Kotarou, but Asakura confirms the coordinates for Chachamaru to fire Al-Iskandariyah remotely.
‘Al-Iskandariyah’ Maximum Deployment!
Fire Satellite Cannon!
Nodoka Relocates the entire group away including Kota, and Fate disappears in a pillar of light that goes clean through the Palace, hitting the ground with a decent sized explosion (and by that I mean it looks like it can engulf the entire Palace.)
Ala Alba reappears on a balcony seemingly a couple hundred metres away with a view to the Altar.
Yue asks Kaede if that was enough to bring Fate down:
I don’t know, but… our opponent shouldn’t be someone who can be so easily and successfully subdued!
(So no, Fate isn’t out yet.)
“Are you all right, Kotarou-kun?!”
“Heheh… it’s nothing serious. I just got a tiny little hole in my stomach.”
“That’s not serious?!”
Asakura tells Nodoka that they’re still too close to the Altar:
I couldn’t transfer us to where Negi-sensei is! Maybe it’s because we were close to the Altar, or because we brought Asuna-san…
Nodoka prepares to Relocate them again.
The team on the ships discuss Al-Iskandariyah:
This is the power of science. From a hundred years in the future… and a little magic.
Chachamaru reports to Haruna and the rest that the other team has secured both the Princess and the Key, but three members were petrified.
All right, that’s enough for the lookout, everyone get back onto the ship!
If they have the Great Grand Master Key, then they’ll definitely go to where Negi-kun is resting, bring him with them and transfer here!
Unfortunately, they let their guard down – Chachamaru realises someone else is with them and pushes Misora away, getting blown in half by…
The Averruncus of Fire is appointed.
Nodoka attempts to Relocate the group further – before she can finish the command, she gets hit by a lightning attack, and the Key goes flying off to…
The Averruncus of Wind is appointed.
Going back to the discussion between Chisame and Dunamis:
“…So you mean… he literally was… the ‘Lifemaker’?”
“Yes… thus, it is our duty to carry out this plan.”
“By the way, that was a fairly good strategy your group came out with.
Especially with that girl’s Artifact. That was truly a rare gem. It might even take Tertium by surprise.
Yes… assuming that Tertium,
is the only card we have left to play.”
“The puppet that was defeated by the Thousand Master – who do you think revived it? It was I.
With the power of the key, it seems that the remaining three units have begun operating in time.
Goodness, safeguards truly are things to be invested in.”
(It’s literally “safeguards are things to be set/prepared – this was a bit creative on my part.)
Another Averruncus appears behind them…
The Averruncus of Water is appointed.
For posterity, Chamo’s perfect response:
You… have gotta be kidding me.
Is this the collapse of the final operation?! Will the Fates wring the last breath of life out from Ala Alba?!
I would call this totally left-field, but that’s not exactly true – it’s just that the revelations of Fate being “the third” was so long ago (and the fact being left in the background after the previous Averruncus was shown) that it became unexpected again despite an explicit foreshadowing disguised as a joke.
Well, the next chapter comes out December 22, but throw on the fact that the next chapter may focus on one of the other ongoing fights (I doubt that, personally) and that makes potentially three weeks’ wait before we find out how this situation will turn out.
Full translation on Monday as usual.
