310 really early spoilers

Filed under: Updates — CanonRap @ 10:24 am

Is this legal? Seriously.

Al-Iskandariyah (that was fast – then again, Chachamaru can fly…) fires a shot directly onto Fate, who blocks it.

Is that it…?

No, that’s can be right. This is a diversion…

….from Kotarou’s man-paw landing literally on his face. My guess was off, Fate really didn’t see them coming at all.

Inugami Kotarou!!

How is this possible? Where was he hiding?

Wait, it’s not only Inugami Kotarou.

The ninja and those mundane allies of his!

Not only have they gathered in force, but they’re this close – how?

That’s – !

That Artifact – !

It hasn’t appeared in this world for 280 years!

That’s a weirdly specific number…

  1. I was STUNNED to see these out. I only checked on a whim while taking a brief break. Glad to see Kotaro active. ^_^

  2. … now … it would be Curb-Stomping if Kotaro somehow managed to fight effectively while holding hands with Natsumi … piggy-backing prehaps :p

  3. It would be really fucking awesome if Kotarou and the rest defeat Fate. Awesome lampshading that is.

  4. I was hoping to see another time Chachamaru’s artifact in action, and in what action! ^^ The second image is awesome, where Kaede and Makie already go for their targets! But how Fate succeeds to see Natsumi and the others, even if she has the artifact still on? Thanks for the translation CanonRap 😉

  5. Then again, it seems that everyone in the magical world has an ability to instantly recognize an artifact for what it is.

Nodoka’s book is instantly recognizable even by Sakura Mei, Yue’s encyclopedia is also apparently one-of-a-kind, on top of Nodoka’s daemonic finger ring-thingy.

Come to think of it, did they even have masquerade-themed objects 280 years ago? Assuming that the timeframe was the same; this means that the magical world most likely produced such a theme more then the actual world.

It really makes you wonder if any of the magical artifacts produced by Mundus Magicus ended up on ol Terra for regular purposes (Gives you new thought to the legendary artifacts of our legends).

I still want to see Akamatsu pulling out a legitimate ancient artifact (Gae Dearg, good old Excalibur, etc) and tie them in with magic.

  9. 280 years? Seriously?
Well, its really a rare artifact. Good for you, Natsumi.
@Shiirn. Well, I hope for Excalibur to be Arika’s artifact (see Negima 26 cover). Though, its weird to see a woman with Excalibur, except for Saber (Fate SN)…
I’ve saw the spoiler in Astronerdboy. Well, its good chapter…

He already started too. Kufei’s staff is the Monkey King’s ‘Gold Banded Cudgel’ (Go look him up if you don’t know who). I ran around in joyous circles when I realized it was the actual artifact.

  11. It’s the real thing? I thought it was just supposed to be an imitation o_O

    Sweet 🙂

  12. @setsuna: I’ll do it when my copy of 32 arrives (thinking of going back and doing all the back covers.)

@Carect: Oh it’s real, just incredibly early.

  13. Ah, I was talking about Ku’s artifact, I remember reading something somewhere(TvTropes?) about it being an allusion to or imitation of the Monkey King’s staff. >_>

    Comment by Carect — November 23, 2010 @ 11:34 am

  14. Wait, you were talking about the staff? Then yes, it’s a replica….

    Comment by CanonRap — November 23, 2010 @ 12:20 pm

  15. @everyone who talking about MKB. Well, it’s just replica. Even it just replica, but it 99.9% same with the real one. About the real one, it still in Son Gokong’ side (well, I don’t know his real name)…
