And some translation and general format changes.
Now, on to 349… which to be honest there isn’t much to talk about. You all know the significant bit of Akira’s pactio, and the chapter will explain its function — so far, only one is known, but Akira also did something pretty significant with those gauntlets which wasn’t picked up on by the characters.
Spoilers elsewhere also have the gist of the ending (Chao’s family tree). I’d just like to remind everyone of what Hakase said several chapters back about different timelines.

I really don’t want the “Chao from another timeline, Negi will never have any children” cop out. I’m against the whole Eternal Shota thing, as a matter of fact.
Just for curiosity: Did Negi escape from that final madness?
I remember the possibly fake family tree booklet was burned when Chao first revealed it. So Hakase had a real copy of the family tree?
I read the translation of chapter 349 at mangahelpers.com and it says that Chao’s family tree book is blank and only says negi on it. Could it be that what Negi change the future and Chao can’t be born because Negi will remain 10 years old his whole life and can’t marry the girl he loves?
I just reread chaper 349 and had a thought: how did Eva manage to use magic (even castign nivis casus)?
