Vol. 31 Q&A (partial)

Filed under: Updates — CanonRap @ 5:58 pm

Volume 31 has the last expanded Nazenani Negima section – maybe we’re finally getting the Lexicon back? – though I hadn’t actually sat down and go through all the questions yet, but here are some of the more interesting ones…

(Full translation for this is finished, see this post or the Nazenani page.)

  1. hmm … so Mokoto and Eishun is relatively close family but not to close … a wild shot would be uncle/niece, which would make Mokoto and Konoka cousins :p

Full feature film … Why not … as long as it keeps in line with the Ala Alba/Another world OVAs :)

  2. I’m pleasantly surprised that Akamatsu answers questions submitted in english.

    Also, ZOMG, Rakan has Haki!

  3. “Why is Chachamaru still small when she’s with the Party?
    Because it’s easy to draw.”

    *ROFLOL!*

    Thanks for the translations. ^_^

  4. Do the cover character section, too, yeah? Vol. 31 features Asuna. Also…

    >Dunamis
I think you should have changed this to Dynamis by now…

  5. “It’s also possible for several people to use the same Key, but the fairies being put to work could get confused, so it is desirable to have different Keys among comrades.”

Was the fairies part a joke or for real?

  6. Anon @ 3:41 – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunamis

Nestor – *facepalm* I misread ‘seirei’ for ‘yousei’. It should be ‘spirits’ (like the spirits they invoke when casting spells).

  7. Hmmm. Chapter 280 (looking at the tank volume) has it written as Dynamis, though, as the official spelling…

  8. In this question:
“If Sensei were to design an Artifact for himself, what would be its name and ability?”

    Sensei=Akamatsu right?

  9. It really doesn’t make that much difference. ‘Dynamis’ is just how you write ‘Dunamis’ in the Latin alphabet. Nodoka even calls him “Dunamis” (in katakana) while the diary spells out “Dynamis”. Same reason why I write Raiten Taisou as ‘Mega Dunamene’, not ‘Mega Dynamene’.

And yes, that was a question for Akamatsu himself.

  10. Are you ever going to translate more magic or spells stuff from the Negima Guidebook? Character profiles are fine too (<– really wants some info on Kataragi, Konoemon Konoe, etc).
